 Ontario teams go for Gold

PeeWee and Bantam Teams Ontario will both play for Gold on Saturday August 11th.

The PeeWees will face-off against Team British Columbia, and the Bantams will play Team Iroquois.  Both Ontario teams are looking forward to the final Gold game, the great competition, and the capacity crowd of fans at Iroquois Park Arena on Pad 1.

The Ontario PeeWee team will play at 3:05PM, and the Bantam team will play at 8:05PM.

Thank you to volunteers

The making of a Provincial all-star team takes a lot of work, endless hours of volunteer time, and the dedication of many lacrosse supporters.  The coaching staff and players of both Ontario teams would like to thank the numerous volunteers and OLA staff who help to make Team Ontario a reality. Our program is successful because of the help and support of these people.

In particular two people need to be thanked. Andy Brown and Kevin Lorch co-ordinated the ID Selection Camps; Andy the east camps and Kevin the west camps.  Kevin also co-ordinated the Final Camps in Waterloo.  Thank you to Andy and Kevin for all your help, it is much appreciated.

Two sets of brothers play for PeeWee and Bantam Team Ontario:

Nicholas Ritchie              Brett Ritchie

Owen MacDonald               Shane MacDonald

Elora and Orangeville must be doing something right! Both clubs have a set of brothers playing for PeeWee and Bantam Team Ontario. Shane MacDonald and Brett Ritchie are no strangers to the Team Ontario program. Shane played on the inaugural Team Ontario in 2004 on the Gold Winning PeeWee Team.  Brett and Shane played on the 2005 PeeWee team and won gold in that contest as well.
Nicholas Ritchie following in his brother's footsteps played on PeeWee Team Ontario in 2006.
This year both Shane and Brett share their knowledge and excitement as their siblings play for PeeWee Ontario Team. What advice do they have for their younger brothers?
